17 is a hypothetical app sponsored by Boot’s 17 Cosmetics line from the UK. The project brief called for something to showcase their make-up, however I wished to reach a broader audience than just young girls in the UK. In order to do so, I made 17 an app where girls can upload and share the new things they do with their makeup to help each other get ideas. The app allows you to favorite things to help focus the content towards your likes and desires. It is a content-forward design, so the information architecture was extremely important. The organization allows the user to be either very specific or extremely broad in what they see. Organization variables: areas of face, videos/pictures, and product.
